Element 74
Tungsten sits at number 74 on the periodic table. Of every pure metal there is, it has the highest tensile strength — and it melts at 3,422°C, higher than anything else on the table.
It is not the flashiest element and nobody makes jewelry out of it. It is the one you use when the thing has to survive heat and load and keep its shape anyway. It goes in drill bits, furnace parts, and the filament that used to be in every light bulb on earth.
That is the whole idea. Not the hardest, not the prettiest, not the one that shatters impressively. The one that holds under heat.
